Let us bring together physicists and mathematicians to make an overview of the recent researches and the new directions for the mathematical and numerical study of Periodic media and Metamaterials.

The main topics of the workshop are metamaterials and periodic media. This event marks the end of our project, METAMATH,
funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR). The METAMATH project involves:
- from POEMS, Sonia Fliss, Anne-Sophie Bonnet Ben Dhia, Patrick Ciarlet, Patrick Joly, Camille Carvalho and Valentin Vinoles;
- from DEFI, Lucas Chesnel, Houssem Haddar, Mathieu Chamaillard and Thi Phong Nguyen;
- from Laboratoire Jacques Louis Lions, Xavier Claeys ;
- from IMATH, Université de Toulon, Guy Bouchitté and Christophe Bourel.
The motivation of this project was to contribute to the development of mathematical models for the study of periodic media and metamaterials, which are both physically relevant and available for numerical computations.
The aim of the workshop is to bring together physicists and mathematicians to make an overview of the recent researches and the new perspectives on the field.
